Job Description

Division: Retail Banking


Department: Branch Administration - Various


Reports to: SVP, Head of Retail Branch Banking


Status: Exempt/Officer


Grade: 12


Location: Pittsfield, MA - 66 West St



Purpose/Objective:



Oversees the management of a multiple financial centers within a designated geographic area. Provides ongoing support and guidance to drive growth, ensure excellent client experience, maintain operational excellence, and recruit staff. Assist in the design, implementation, and support of new products and services as well as sales promotions and campaigns, while encouraging the use of technology to meet our clients' needs. Serves as a community leader and face of the bank, and ensures exceptional experiences for all clients, COIs, and prospects.



Key Accountabilities:




  • Leverage leadership skills to manage the sales and service environment of assigned branches; assists with establishing goals and provides coaching and guidance to managers in achieving key metrics. Inspects financial centers regularly for providing exceptional sales and service results. Partners with the Regional President to lead "Pair UP" and joint business development efforts with all lines of business to meet all client financial needs. Ensures an exceptional client experience to exceed their expectations, including leadership in lobby management, prompt welcomes of assistance to clients, and genuinely thank clients for their business. Participates with financial center managers in joint calls to new or existing clients to grow the business and promote Bank's products and services to ensure we are meeting all their needs. 40%
  • Provides guidance to assigned managers on personnel issues including hiring, talent development, performance appraisals, salary adjustments, and transfers. Conducts and administers the regions' performance management process and staffing in assigned financial centers. Conducts meetings and training sessions with assigned locations to ensure conformance with security and compliance regulations as well as client service skills and sales techniques. Interprets and communicates Bank policies, programs, and objectives. 30%
  • Create an environment where all employees feel valued, supported, and able to achieve career goals. Works in conjunction with FVP, Branch Operations & Corporate Security Officer to ensure financial centers are operating effectively and to resolve complex operating and/or legal issues. Responsible for complex personnel issues within region and managing all aspects of talent. May serve on special projects or serve as "point" for key Bank initiatives. 25%
  • Represents the Bank in the community by serving on boards or as a volunteer in community organizations. Attends Chamber and outside events as a Bank representative for networking opportunity. Serves as an active and supportive member of all internal committees, programs, and initiatives and lives our corporate social responsibility values. 5%
  • Ensures compliance with all banking laws, rules, regulations, and prescribed policies/practices/procedures necessary to reduce risk and uphold ethical standards related to and required by one's duties.



Must be eligible to be registered in the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry for purposes of SAFE Act.



Education:




  • Bachelor's Degree in Business preferred or equivalent work experience

  • 5+ years in branch management
