Mixing III (Relief Operator)

Our Chemprene team, is currently looking for a Mixing III (Relief Operator).

As a Mixing III Relief Operator, you will be responsible for performing all positions in the Mixing department including Bolling Mixer, Bolling Set-up, Sheet-Off Mill, Stacking and Compounding. This position is responsible for relieving fellow employees during work and break periods as well as absences. You will report to the Production Manager and be part of the Production Team. This role is based in Beacon, New York. Starting hourly rate for this position is $27.05/hour.

Individual Accountabilities of a Mixing III (Relief Operator) are:

• Tests all safety devices/emergency stop buttons at the start of each shift
• Conducts safety audit of area at the start of each shift
• Notifies Supervisor of any safety hazard found during shift
• Reviews production schedule and verifies expectations for the shift
• Weighs material according to schedule
• Records weight and lot information of material weighed
• Stages material in appropriate area
• Performs all positions of mixing department
• Covers absences, lunches and breaks
• Performs cleaning and minor maintenance activities (PM's) in Mixing department
• Enters data into computer
• Operates all machines according to Standard Operating Procedures
• Assist in other areas assigned by management
• Participating in company training initiatives assigned
• Maintain a safe work environment and participate in safety activities
• Liaison with inter-company departments to ensure the appropriate schedule attainment, availability of raw materials and quality standards are being met.

We are looking for you to have

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
• High School Level Math Skills
• Prior Forklift Experience and current forklift certification
• DOT Hazardous Waste Certification (Company will provide)
• Positive team spirit
• Ability to speak and write English Language
• Excellent communication skills
• Accuracy in reading weights and measures
• Must be proficient in all positions of mixing department (Bolling Mixer, Bolling Assistant, Sheet Off Mill, Stacking and level compounding)
