Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work ON-SITE with our client in Palm Bay, FL. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • The tool maker produces, modifies, and repairs tooling, jigs, and fixtures used in the manufacturing process to make products.
  • Manufacture parts, jigs, tooling, and fixtures per drawings, sketches, and models.
  • Perform all tasks in a safe and reasonable manner per the client Handbook.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment and contribute to the client's 6S program and Lean concepts.
  • Maintain cooperative and professional interactions and follow the client Code of Ethics.
  • Complete documentation accurately and scan on/off shop orders correctly.
  • Utilize and understand operation process sheets and inspect parts per character control sheets.
  • Notify the Supervisor immediately should there be damage, defect, or inability to proceed efficiently.
  • Perform other related duties as needed.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $25.75 - $35.02 / hr.

Hours: 40 hrs/Week.

Length: Contract (12 months).

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 15 years of tool and die experience.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in CNC equipment capability and daily maintenance.
  • Minimum 15 years of GD&T experience.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Ability to stay focused, adapt to change positively or negatively, and pay close attention to detail.
  • Have knowledge and understanding of basic math and computer functions.
  • Ability to read and follow company processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to multitask, work effectively, and efficiently to meet shop order standards.
  • Ability to manufacture prototype parts and fixtures to close tolerances using any shop equipment necessary to complete.
  • Ability to read and understand G-Code and conversational programming.
  • Ability to use CNC equipment as well as write programs on demand.
  • Ability to operate manual mills, lathes, CNC grinders, honing, and line bores.
  • Able to communicate and read English proficiently.
  • Willing to train co-workers in aspects of the shop.
  • Ability to read a computer screen and documents.
  • Ability to monitor machine sounds, identify and diagnose changes, and take appropriate action.

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
  • Work needed overtime as needed to support Customer deliveries.
  • Able to lift, move, transport, and load items up to 50 pounds across the building at times.
  • Good physical condition and be able to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl for the length of the shift.
  • To work on slippery and uneven surfaces.
  • Exposed to physical hazards from moving equipment, heavy equipment, and machine parts.
  • Visual acuity of 20/20 or corrected.
  • Close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Normal hearing or corrected to normal.
  • Factory environment.
  • Occasional work outside regular business hours.
  • High noise levels from operating machines.
  • Physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts.
  • Breathing fumes, dust, and mist.
  • Skin exposure to chemicals associated with manufacturing.
