This leader will spend their day driving the strategic direction of claims operations with a focus on Absence Management to include PFML, FMLA, collaborating with senior leaders, strategic vendors and empowering teams to deliver consistent, high-quality service. They'll analyze performance data, lead organizational change efforts, and ensure compliance while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Their impact will be felt through improved operational efficiency, enhanced customer outcomes, and the development of a strong talent pipeline for the future.






WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:



  • Estimated Salary: $165,000 - $200,000 plus annual bonus.
  • 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:



  • Leads Strategic Direction & Execution: Partners with senior leadership to design and implement strategies that enhance claims management, service delivery, and profitability, leveraging metrics, performance reviews, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Optimizes Claims Operations & Service: Drives consistency in claims practices by utilizing internal resources, vendors, and industry best practices to enhance efficiency, scalability, and customer outcomes across multiple products.
  • Builds and Sustains Talent: Fosters a culture of development and succession planning by maximizing employee potential, using talent pipelines and attrition models, and aligning staffing strategies with long-term organizational goals.
  • Ensures Compliance & Operational Excellence: Oversees the development and continuous refinement of claims policies and procedures to align with internal standards and external regulations, while ensuring seamless and compliant service delivery.
  • Drives Customer-Centric Innovation: Influences product, system, and process design to align with customer expectations, while leading initiatives for customer-focused, cost-effective, and integrated service models with meaningful metrics and reporting.
  • Collaborates Across the Enterprise: Builds strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, enabling transparent communication, issue resolution, and an infrastructure that supports business continuity, innovation, and scalable operations.
  • Cultivates High-Performing Teams: Develops a fair, engaged, and accountable workforce through clear communication, a positive work environment, and a focus on leadership development and employee satisfaction.



WHAT YOU'LL BRING:



  • Extensive Claims & Insurance Expertise: 15+ years of progressive claims experience in STD/LTD, PFML, FMLA, ADA, including 10+ years in leadership roles across multiple insurance products and financial services.
  • Strategic Leadership & Change Management: Proven ability to lead complex organizational and transformational change, supported by strong planning, execution, and decision-making skills.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Skilled in interpreting complex data to drive business results, creatively solving challenging problems, and developing scalable strategies and budgets.
  • Strong Communication & Presentation Skills: Experienced in delivering compelling presentations and building trust with executive leaders, business partners, community leaders, and regulatory officials.
  • Organizational Savvy & Relationship Building: Demonstrates high organizational awareness and excels in building collaborative relationships and influential networks across all levels of the organization.
  • Agile & Adaptive Leadership: Thrives in fast-paced, diverse environments; manages multiple priorities effectively while fostering accountability, development, and compliance within teams.
