The Guest Service team at the Erie Community Center prides themselves on being professional, exceptional, accountable, and knowledgeable - always! This position is responsible for leading by example and providing front-line support to the public at the Erie Community Center and Ballpark at Erie. As the first contact for customers both in-person and over the phone, the ability to relay accurate and timely information is crucial. Accountability and the willingness to take ownership are other key aspects of this position. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A combination of education and experience may be considered. CERTIFICATES/LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED: Knowledge of: To perform this job successfully, an individual must demonstrate basic knowledge of the principles, practices, trends and methods of recreational facility operations and programming in a community setting. Knowledge of guidelines and regulations related to Department, Town, County, State, and Federal policies and procedures also required. Skills in: Providing outstanding customer service to a diverse guest population; positive and professional working relationships with all Town staff and the community, may include instruction, communication of rules and regulations and enforcing policies; time management; presenting verbal and written information; the use of standard office equipment, computers, and various software programs; problem solving; following and enforcing all rules, regulations and policies; recognizing safety hazards and sanitation issues and notify supervisors; safely operate a variety of recreation related equipment; remaining composed in emergency situations and working effectively under stressful circumstances; performing CPR, First Aid, and AED to level of certification. Environmental Factors: Work is performed in a standard recreational facility environment. Work may involve competing demands and performing multiple tasks. Physical Factors: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit or stand for extended periods of time and occasionally lift storage boxes and sports equipment of 20lbs or more. |
