Summary of Job Description:

The HR Project Specialist is responsible for leading and executing complex, cross-functional Human Resources initiatives that drive organizational effectiveness, associate experience, and business transformation. This role works closely with HR leadership, business stakeholders, and external partners to deliver high-impact projects across areas.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides end-to-end project leadership for strategic HR projects, including planning, execution, stakeholder engagement, and delivery. Projects may include but not limited to HRIS/Workday implementations, policy rollouts, compliance initiatives, workforce management, and change management programs.
  • Collaborates with business partners, stakeholders and cross-functional teams to define project scope, success metrics, governance structures and alignment with broader organizational strategies. Facilitates cross-functional collaboration and ensures stakeholder buy-in throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Champions the use of standardized project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid) and tools. Establishes and maintains project governance frameworks, ensuring consistent execution and reporting across initiatives.
  • Develops and executes change management strategies to support adoption of new HR programs and systems. Creates communication plans, training materials, and engagement strategies to ensure smooth transitions and sustained impact.
  • Establishes project dashboards, timelines, and KPIs to monitor progress and outcomes. Proactively identify project risks, dependencies, and roadblocks. Develops mitigation strategies and contingency plans to ensure successful delivery.Provides regular updates to HR leadership and executive sponsors, highlighting risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve project delivery processes, tools, and templates. Works on initiatives to enhance project efficiency, stakeholder engagement, and overall program maturity.

Your background & experience:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum five years of relevant work experience, preferably in a retail/hospitality environment
  • Successful completion of initial and periodically required training
  • Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.

Pay Range: P3: $90,000 - $126,500 / Annual

* Within the range, individual pay is determined using various factors, including work location and experience.
