Recycle Center Laborer

PSI Environmental Systems, a Waste Connections company, is looking to hire aRecycle Center LaborerinTwin Falls, ID.

Full Time: Monday - Friday, Starting 7:00am - Generally 8-11 hour day depending on workload needs . Occasional Saturdays.

Competitive Compensation: Starting $21.00/HR DOE.

Overtime: 1.5x pay after 40hrs.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITY:

The Utility position is the first point of contact for trucks coming onto our site, directing traffic and ensuring a safe working environment. This is a demanding role that requires focus while working outside in the elements.

• Directing traffic & spotting
• Ensure material loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate material
• Operate skid steer, forklifts, or other company vehicle
• Approaching all encounters with employees, customers, and vendors in a friendly, service-oriented manner
• Yard and facility maintenance including debris and clean up
• Learning the operations of transfer station
• Specific duties can change on the daily basis as operation needs change
• Various utility tasks as needed

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have a valid Driver's license and good driving record.
• At least 2 years of work experience. Preferably in a labor type position.
• Experience operating equipment; skid steer, forklift (Willing to train)
• Follow all required safety policies and procedures. Ability to work safely alone and with others.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions throughout entire shift
• Mechanical ability a plus.
• The ability to continually lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout an 8-10 hr. shift.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

• The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.
• Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects of up to 50 lbs. Requires use of various hand tools including shovels, picks, etc.
• Ability to safely climb on and off of heavy equipment in order to operate, clean and inspect.
• Capacity to operate the equipment for up to 3 hours at a time, and between 4 and 11 1/2 hours in a workday.
• Knowledge of light equipment operation and maintenance a plus.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid Drivers License
• Clean driving record
• Ability to pass company background check
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English
