SOME (So Others Might Eat) exists to help homeless and poor individuals and families in Washington, DC. Our more than 30 programs throughout the district provide comprehensive services that lead to mental and physical health, continued sobriety, job training, living-wage employment, and affordable housing. We meet immediate needs with food, clothing, and healthcare, and offer the tools one needs to live with hope, dignity, and greater independence. Compensation: SOME, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Facilities Manager to join our Facilities Management team. This position will support our Northside portfolio, which includes sites located in the northern region of Washington, D.C. Program Description: The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing maintenance scheduling and workload management using the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and other labor reporting tools. This role ensures that maintenance staff are effectively coordinated to maintain the reliability of building operations and infrastructure, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction. The Facilities Manager will also play an integral role in leveraging metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and staff performance. Required: High School diploma with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Property/ Facilities Management or equivalent building operation experience. Preferred: Associate/Bachelor's Degree in a technical or engineering field with 5 years of experience in Property or Facilities Management Required License/Certification: Driver's License Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (40 hours per week); This role will also require on-call support on a quarterly rotation. Reports to: Senior Director, Facilities Closing Date: Open Until Filled Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. This position may be active and requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. Must be able to climb stairs and ladders. Work may be performed outside on facility grounds in heat or cold. Travel to work sites using your own transportation methods. Utilize your own tools for work projects and transport tools to the work site.
