How you'll make an impact: The Video Production Assistant for the Video Programming & Production Department will support field and studio video production. They will assist producers, editors, and production management in day-to- day studio and field shoots and pre-production. The Video Production Assistant will log in the field team's house gear, identify missing/broken parts, organize the gear closet and track gear in tandem with the studio team's gear tracker. They will also assist in archiving footage from the field team's old drives. The ideal candidate should have a positive attitude, be a self-starter, and forward-looking thinking who is exceptionally organized and able to multitask. What you'll do: Edit clips for organic and paid social. Work with the video/social team to assure all edits are delivered on time. Pull archival footage, transcribe and assist in media management. Occasionally help field shoots; including set up, camera operation and media management, under the direction of a video production lead. Assist in the organization and maintenance of field gear. Conduct daily quality check on SXM app. Aid in on-going department administrative needs. Support producers and editors in all aspects of video production. Helps execute video production and post-production for live in-studio and off-site content captures, digital exclusives, direct-to-cameras, and different content capture requests. Edits own video content as well as content shot by others. Should have experience with sound design, audio mixing, color correcting, and editing specs for different content and delivery platforms. Oversees the backup, uploads, and delivery of all raw and edited video footage. Archives and retrieves footage requests from internal and external stakeholders. Travel may be required. What you'll need: Bachelor's degree or equivalent, relevant experience. 1 or more years or professional experience editing in Adobe Premiere (Creative Cloud), DSLR and traditional videography, preferably for a media and/or entertainment company. Experience editing video in Adobe Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop. Shooting video with Digital Cine Cameras, and traditional video camera in challenging environments. Social video editing - Instagram, TikTok, etc. Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Willingness to take initiative and follow through on projects. Strong organizational skills and attention to details. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Technical Skills: Editing in Adobe Cloud, including After Effects. Shooting video with Canon C300, C400, C80 and C70. Must have legal right to work in the U.S. At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the annual salary for this this position to be between $47,000 and $51,000 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
