Job ID: 99951

Do you want to work on complex and pressing challenges-the kind that bring together curious, ambitious, and determined leaders who strive to become better every day? If this sounds like you, you've come to the right place.
Your Impact
As a Compliance Coordinator within the Regulatory Center of Excellence (RegCOE), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the firm's compliance with global trade controls, sanctions, and regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for conducting thorough reviews, investigations, and escalations of screening alerts against various government watchlists, including OFAC, EU, and UN lists. Your work will involve leveraging databases, public records, and other sources to validate screening results and ensure accurate and timely alert dispositions.
Your work will help safeguard the firm's reputation and operational integrity by mitigating regulatory risks and ensuring adherence to compliance standards. You will collaborate with colleagues across the firm to provide prompt and accurate support on findings generated by the restricted party screening system.
You will be based in one of our global locations as part of the Ethics & Compliance function, a globally integrated team within the second line of defense of the firm. This team enables McKinsey's client impact and innovation while managing risks to the firm, our clients, and our people.
Your Growth
You are someone who thrives in a high-performance environment, bringing a growth mindset and entrepreneurial spirit to tackle meaningful challenges that have a real impact.
In return for your drive, determination, and curiosity, we'll provide the resources, mentorship, and opportunities to help you quickly broaden your expertise, grow into a well-rounded professional, and contribute to work that truly makes a difference.
When you join us, you will have:
  • Continuous learning: Our learning and apprenticeship culture, backed by structured programs, is all about helping you grow while creating an environment where feedback is clear, actionable, and focused on your development. The real magic happens when you take the input from others to heart and embrace the fast-paced learning experience, owning your journey.
  • A voice that matters: From day one, we value your ideas and contributions. You'll make a tangible impact by offering innovative ideas and practical solutions. We not only encourage diverse perspectives, but they are critical in driving us toward the best possible outcomes.
  • Global community: With colleagues across 65+ countries and over 100 different nationalities, our firm's diversity fuels creativity and helps us come up with the best solutions. Plus, you'll have the opportunity to learn from exceptional colleagues with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
  • Exceptional benefits: On top of a competitive salary (based on your location, experience, and skills), we provide a comprehensive benefits package to enable holistic well-being for you and your family.
Your qualifications and skills
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree.
  • At least 2+ years of work experience in sanctions compliance, KYC, AML/BSA, or other enhanced due diligence areas.
  • Proficiency in using automated screening/monitoring tools, preferably LexisNexis Bridger.
  • Strong understanding of global sanctions regulations, including OFAC sanctions programs, EU sanctions regimes, and UN Security Council resolutions.
  • Excellent research techniques, including the use of databases, accessing regionally relevant public records and archives, and wider online research.
  • Capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to prioritize and balance competing, time-urgent demands.
  • Specialized compliance training or certifications is a strong plus (e.g., ACAMS, CGSS, CSS, CFE).
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy and precision in performing screening activities and documentation.
