Insomnia Cookies is seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Supply Chain, Demand & Supply Planning to lead our integrated planning function and help drive the next phase of our growth. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Supply Chain & Procurement, this role will oversee both demand forecasting and supply planning execution across our national network of stores, ensuring the right product is in the right place at the right time.
This leader will play a critical role in enabling cross-functional alignment, balancing customer service and working capital needs, and implementing scalable processes that support our ambitious growth targets. They will manage a team of demand and supply planners, own key elements of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, and work in close partnership with key stakeholders including Marketing, R&D (Cookievation), Finance, Procurement, and Store Operations to translate demand signals into actionable, cost-effective supply strategies.
The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and systems thinking with people leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills. This position is based out of our Philadelphia HQ and requires in-office presence at least four days per week.

Key Responsibilities:
    • Demand Planning:
    • Lead the development of accurate, consensus-driven forecasts across channels, products, and time horizons
    • Integrate inputs from Marketing, R&D (Cookeviation), Operations and Finance into rolling forecasts, incorporating promotional lifts and new product launches
    • Establish and monitor forecast performance metrics (MAPE, Bias, promo accuracy)
    • Guide system and tool improvements for demand planning, including automation and exception management
    • Supply Planning:
    • Translate demand forecasts into time-phased supply plans aligned with supplier lead times, capacity constraints, and production windows
    • Ensure inventory targets and service levels are achieved while minimizing obsolescence and working capital exposure
    • Drive collaboration with Procurement, co-Manufacturing, and 3PL partners to align supply with demand in a responsive, scalable way
    • Oversee inventory policy setting (safety stock, reorder points) and define replenishment strategies
    • S&OP & Strategic Planning:
    • Own demand and supply inputs to the monthly S&OP cycle
    • Prepare and present risks, gaps, and recovery options in cross-functional forums
    • Lead scenario planning and capacity modeling to support business growth and innovation launches
    • Partner with Finance to align volume and cost assumptions in budgeting and financial forecast cycles

    • Forecast Accuracy (MAPE/WAPE)
    • Fill Rate / Service Level
    • Inventory Turns and Days of Supply
    • Forecast Bias and Promo Accuracy
    • Waste and Obsolescence
    • Supply Plan vs Actuals Variance
    • Team Leadership:
    • Lead, develop, and mentor a team of 3
    • Build a culture of data-driven decision making and proactive risk mitigation
    • Implement best-in-class planning processes and tools to improve visibility and execution
Qualifications:
    • 8+ years of experience in integrated planning, demand/supply planning, or S&OP
    • At least 3 years in a people leadership role
    • Strong experience with ERP and planning tools
    • Proven ability to operate cross-functionally and communicate at all levels of the organization
    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field (MBA a plus)
