Join us as our new Process Engineer

The Process Management Group (PMG) of Novonesis is a team of engineers and scientists that works closely with each other and many other departments to ensure product quality while improving processes. Bacterial culture health, purity, and integrity are the primary focus.

In this role you'll make an impact by:

  • Collaborating with cross-functional local and international teams from Production, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Maintenance on upgrades and projects - including small capital projects - to improve production and product quality.
  • Defining and implements equipment and process changes by conferring with vendors or other departments to specify, purchase, install, and validate equipment/parts/materials according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Acting as a technical resource for departments inside and outside Operations focused on reducing quality issues related to contamination, equipment performance, and cleaning.
  • Primary responsible for cleaning processes in the plant (e.g., CIP).
  • Leading and supporting cross-functional systematic problem-solving groups through facilitation, analysis, report-writing, etc.
  • Occasional weekend work, on-call, and evening shifts may be required along with work in a production environment. International travel can be up to 5%.

To succeed you must hold:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 3 years relevant experience in industrial fermentation or upstream liquid processing. Food, pharma, GMP hygienic design and industrial automation are preferred.
  • Experience with CIP is required.
  • Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication, as well as analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Problem-solving, influencing without authority, and change management
