Description

The PSEO Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the success of Post-Secondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) students at Dunwoody. This position is responsible for fostering a positive and seamless experience by serving as the primary point of contact for students, parents, and high school counselors. Key responsibilities include guiding students through dual credit registration, ensuring alignment with high school graduation requirements, facilitating the transition from high school to college, and leading initiatives that promote student success and academic achievement.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS



  1. Build and maintain supportive relationships with PSEO students and key stakeholders.
  2. Coordinate dual credit course enrollment with high school counselors to ensure academic alignment.
  3. Maintain timely and professional communication with students, parents, and guidance counselors.
  4. Create a welcoming and engaging new student experience through events such as Orientation, New Student Days, and midterm advising sessions
  5. Advise students on academic readiness to ensure success in college-level coursework.
  6. Coordinate and participate in on-campus and off-campus events focused on recruiting, onboarding, and retaining PSEO students.
  7. Guide students through the matriculation process into a selected Dunwoody degree program upon high school graduation.
  8. Maintain accurate records of student interactions and track engagement metrics to support matriculation goals.
  9. Plan and facilitate opportunities for PSEO students to connect and build community.
  10. Organize informational sessions, workshops, and events to increase awareness of Dunwoody's PSEO program.
  11. Stay current on best practices and emerging trends in dual credit and higher education to inform program development.
  12. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of FERPA (Family Education Rights and Privacy Act), to ensure compliance in handling student records.
  13. Evaluate the effectiveness of PSEO programming and make data-informed recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, education, student affairs, or similar
  • Personal or professional knowledge or experience in PSEO (dual credit) programming or college-level academic transfer
