A technical leader with direct responsibilities over the Distributed Energy Resource Management System (DERMS) which includes DER SCADA, DER forecasting/analytics and DER scheduling/dispatch capabilities to support CPS Energy reliability and market requirements. Responsible for the uptime and accuracy of the DERMS, safety and security issues affecting the DERMS, meeting applicable regulations and standards, and responding to users and stakeholders of other business units in a timely manner. This position is also responsible for collaborating and aligning technical efforts with EDS, ESMO, Corporate Communications, Customer Service, and Enterprise Information Technology to provide the optimal solution for internal and external customers. This position will lead implementations of distribution/DER automation programs and process improvements as part of the EDS, Customer Service, and ESMO Business Plans for Self-Optimizing Grid (SOG) and energy market participation. Responsibilities also include participating in DERMS strategy, overseeing application development, changes, testing (change management), and support the planning for future application upgrades or replacements, timely distribution of real time data, patch management. * Serves as the lead technical expert of the Distributed Energy Resource Management System (DERMS) application which includes the DER SCADA, DER Analytics/Forecasting, DER Scheduling/Dispatching and advanced applications and related systems related to analysis, control, and dispatch Minimum Skills
Minimum Knowledge and Abilities
Texas Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures.
Demonstrated mastery of engineering discipline skills.
Ability to lead cross-functional business initiatives and teams.
Demonstrated ability to effectively handle a broad range of engineering assignments with minimum supervision.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams on internal projects.
Demonstrated ability to manage project costs, timeline, scope, and risks.
Ability to effectively check work product for adequacy, quality and accuracy.
Effective communication skills focused on understanding customer needs and developing resolution.
Strong people skills, with bias for a collaborative working style.
Ability to work call duty and occasional unscheduled work in the evenings, weekends, or holidays after experience level permits.
Ability to travel occasionally, to off-site work, to seminars, manufacturing plant inspections, etc.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Package, including word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software, electronic mail and scheduling. Preferred Qualifications

Working Environment
Work is performed both indoors and outdoors. Operating computer, manual dexterity, talking, hearing, and repetitive motion. Use of personal computing equipment, telephone, multi-functioning printer and calculator.
Employee may potentially be exposed to hazardous chemicals, wet or humid conditions, outdoor weather, noisy and dusty environment. Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business-related events. After hours work may be required. Physical Demands
