Configuration Management Specialist (Lead)
Clearance Needed: TS/SCI Clearance is Required
- ENCORE III Description: Responsible for configuration management planning. Describes provisions for configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting, and configuration audits. Maintains the original configuration of requirements documentation, design documentation, software, and related documentation. Regulates the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated. Tracks all problems and changes in product documents and software and reports changes and current configuration. Supports audits to verify that requirements of all baselines have been met by the as-built software.

- Position Overview:
- We are seeking a highly skilled Configuration Management Specialist (Lead) to ensure the integrity and compliance of configuration management processes within our organization. This role involves coordinating and supporting the divisions' configuration management/change management (CM) process to maintain and enhance system integrity and compliance.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Configuration Management Planning: Responsible for planning and describing provisions for configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting, and configuration audits.
- Baseline Management: Ensure baseline configurations are modified to maintain compliance with both internal and external requirements and align with organizational goals. Maintain the original configuration of requirements documentation, design documentation, software, and related documentation.
- Change Management: Regulate the change process to ensure only approved and validated changes are incorporated. Support Change Advisory Board, Configuration Control Board (CCB), Engineering Review Board, and manage Request for Change (RFC), Engineering Change Request, and Field Change Request processes.
- Documentation and Artifacts: Update required documentation and develop necessary artifacts to ensure thorough documentation and traceability of all configuration changes.
- Reporting: Develop and submit Configuration Management Reports such as Verification and Audit Reports, Baseline Status Reports, Baseline Audit Reports, and Activity Reports on a monthly basis.
- Metrics and Artifacts: Provide RFC Metrics Reports and other relevant artifacts as requested.
- Audit Support: Track all problems and changes in product documents and software and report changes and current configuration. Support audits to verify that requirements of all baselines have been met by the as-built software.
- Meetings and Coordination: Participate in and support bi-weekly APL Scheduling Meetings, Quarterly Distributed Testing Working Group Meetings, and Monthly Distributed Testing Cybersecurity Working Group.
- Qualifications:
- Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Information Technology, Business Administration, or Engineering, with at least 10 years of experience in configuration management or a related area.
- Familiarity with Configuration Management and Change Management processes and tools.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and support various stakeholders.
Configuration Manager Intermediate
- ENCORE III Description: Responsible for configuration management planning, including configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting, and configuration audits. Maintains the original configuration of requirements documentation and oversees changes to ensure only approved modifications are incorporated. Supports audits to confirm that all baseline requirements have been met by the as-built software.
- Education/Experience: BA/BS with at least 5 years of experience.
