In collaboration with Monongalia EMS Duty supervisor, this position will provide comprehensive coordination of non-emergency medical transport services. In addition to primary duties, this position will provide administrative and operational support in patient care documentation, logistics, supply chain, facilities and other administrative and operational areas.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. High School Diploma or equivalent. 2. Valid Driver's License. PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. Certified Dispatcher. 2. Current or previous medical certification or license (EMT, Paramedic, Clinical Associate, Medical Assistant, RN, etc.) EXPERIENCE: 1. At least Two (2) years of experience as a dispatcher. 2. At least Two (2) years as a medical provider (EMT, Paramedic, Clinical Associate, Medical Assistant, RN, etc.) 3. Experience in the EMS industry. 4. Experience in Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems (Zolland/orZeurcher). 5. Experience in EMS billing, coding, and compliance. Ensures proper medical necessity (if possible). 3. Coordinates any pre-approvals (if necessary). 4. Assists with Physician Certification Statement (PCS) completion and compliance with requesting facilities. 5. Answers phone calls and provide exceptional customer service. 6. Monitors the location of ground assets to ensure accurate tracking to meet the transport need. 7. Utilizes the CAD system to enter call information and assign assets efficiently. 8. Works with mutual aid agencies to coordinate transport needs. 9. Ensures paperwork compliance and crew feedback processes. 10. Provides logistics support and restocking of assets. 11. Assist with data entry, filing, and keeping the operation organized.
