About Us

The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) is an independent nonprofit organization authorized by Congress in 2010. Its mission is to fund research that will provide patients, their caregivers and clinicians with the evidence-based information needed to make better-informed healthcare decisions. PCORI is committed to continually seeking input from a broad range of stakeholders to guide its work.

Position Summary

This hybrid intern role offers hands-on experience in various digital technologies. Our DIGITAL intern will assist project teams in maintaining project data (Metadata, Overviews, Milestones) in Asana for projects in the AMS and CRM value streams.

The DIGITAL intern will have the opportunity to:

  • Work as part of a team, sharing knowledge and contributing to group projects.
  • Produce biweekly business partnership roadmaps with project statuses.
  • Work closely with an experienced team to support digital initiatives and ensure the smooth operation of systems.

Pay Range and Employment Status:

Interns shall be classified as temporary employees who are hired as interim replacements, to temporarily supplement the workforce, or to assist in the completion of a specific project and who are temporarily scheduled to work for a limited duration. Employment beyond any initially stated period does not in any way imply a change in employment status. Temporary workers are not eligible for PCORI benefits.

  • Bachelor's hourly pay: $17.50
  • Master's and above hourly pay: $20.00

Required Experience

Ideal candidates will be pursuing their undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Systems, Engineering Data Science / Analytics, Management Information Systems (MIS), Operations Management Technology Management, or related fields of study.

  • Experience in qualitative data analysis, synthesizing data/information from various sources, and identifying themes.
  • Business and technical experience.
  • PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint knowledge are a plus.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, ability to tailor communication to different audiences.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage and work on multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrated experience with Asana, Project Management (6 months to 18 months of e, scaled Agile, and Scrum Master).
