What We Offer

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the reliability of mechanical rotating and process equipment. She/he performs preventative and predictive maintenance, mechanical
and process system troubleshooting as well as problem solving measures and other routine maintenance functions

Major Responsibilities:

  • Install and rearrange complex equipment
  • Apply electrical training to be able to reset drives, test electrical circuits and perform simple wiring of circuits after training is complete
  • Diagnose complex equipment failure
  • Dismantle, repair and reassemble complex equipment
  • Perform work in the mechanic's skill area, such as fabrication, assembly, welding, burning, cutting and pipefitting
  • Occasionally perform work in other trades
  • Use typical mechanic's tools and inspection gauges
  • Work from drawings, verbal instructions or sketches; Use shop math
  • Clean debris and lubricant from parts, work area and equipment
  • Operate production equipment to check work as required
  • Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment and facilities
  • Communicate openly with teams, shifts, and other departments to support repairs/projects
  • Willingness and ability to learn and apply new computer software, specifically SAP MtS module. Create Work Orders and apply time to projects;
  • High level of organization skills. Assist with organization of spare parts and tooling. * Clean production dies and tooling;
  • Required to work overtime on weekends, shutdowns and other shifts to cover vacation of other team members Work to maintain technical documentation in an organized manner

What You Offer

Basic Qualifications:

  • Possess a minimum of a high school or trade school diploma.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Should have 5 years of industry related experience; preferably working with plastics or mold tooling and design.
  • Be mechanically inclined, possess good math skills, and highly detail orientated.
  • Preferably be experienced with machining techniques.
  • Working knowledge of computers; including: SAP, Excel and Microsoft Office are desired.
  • Be able to spot equipment deficiencies, malfunctions and breakdowns, changes in processing rolls and product quality.
  • able to routinely lift and carry up to 55 lbs of weight, climb stairs, lift and pull 10 lbs of weight in the overhead position, stoop and bend at the knees and waist.
  • Able to withstand a working environment where ambient room temperatures approach 100+ degrees in summer months, noise levels approaching 80 dB, and numerous hot surfaces exist.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Candidates with interest in obtaining an electrical license are highly preferred, though not mandatory for consideration.
