Level I

  • Estimated annual base pay: $64,080.00 (minimum) - $80,100.00 (midpoint) - $96,120.00 (maximum)

Level II

  • Estimated annual base pay: $75,440.00 (minimum) - $94,300.00 (midpoint) - $113,160.00 (maximum)
  • All members included in annual cash bonus opportunity.

Are you ready to make your mark? If you're an Operations Engineer, we have an exciting opportunity for you. Operations Engineer reports to Technical Leadership and provides manufacturing expertise to solve difficult problems and continuously improve our manufacturing organization and/or supply base. Provides leadership and direction in manufacturing for programming, processing, tooling or working with development engineering on new hardware.

What You Will Be Doing

Level I

  • Supports technical solutions
  • Recognizes problems that are beyond capabilities and is learning from the experts in the area
  • Supports new capital equipment purchases and implementation
  • Supports and maintains automation equipment in an assembly environment
  • Supports cell layouts and process improvement initiatives
  • General understanding of Six Sigma and lean tools to improve processes
  • General understanding of Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) concepts and supports new product introduction
  • Represents the company with our customers
  • Supports updates to management on operations status
  • Learns the steps involved to incorporate process improvements
  • Supports the manufacturing floor for any process related questions
  • Creates and maintains process documentation and updates work order documentation
  • Supports implementation of basic engineering changes
  • Adheres to applicable Quality System requirements
  • Supports Process Flow Charts, PFMEA, and Control Plans
  • Learns from more senior Operations Engineers. May guide/direct Manufacturing Specialists.

Level II

  • Provides technical solutions
  • Recognizes problems which are beyond capabilities and is learning from the experts in the area
  • Supports new capital equipment purchases and implementation with justification documentation
  • Works with advanced manufacturing team to develop, support and maintain automation equipment in an assembly environment
  • Creates cell layouts and process improvement initiatives
  • Uses basic Six Sigma and lean tools to improve processes
  • Uses basic concepts of Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) and supports new product introduction
  • Represents the company with our customers
  • Supports updates to management on operations status
  • Participates in process improvements on a project level
  • Supports the manufacturing floor for any process related questions and develops/trains other members in the manufacturing process
  • Creates, maintains and develops new process documentation and updates work order documentation
  • Implements complex engineering changes
  • Adheres to applicable Quality System requirements and supports process audits
  • Initiates and supports Process Flow Charts, PFMEA, and Control Plans
  • Learns from more senior Operations Engineers. May mentor Level 1 Operations Engineers or Operations Specialists.

What We Are Looking For

Level I

  • Bachelor's degree in technical/science or International equivalent required
  • No professional experience required.
  • Internship in related industry strongly desired
  • General understanding of applicable manufacturing processes
  • Ability to apply advanced knowledge of capabilities studies, Gage R&R, and machine capability
  • General understanding and ability to read product drawings

Level II

  • Bachelor's degree in technical/science or International equivalent required
  • 2+ years of professional engineering experience or a combination of experience and advanced degree
  • Six Sigma Greenbelt
  • General understanding of applicable manufacturing processes
  • Ability to apply advanced knowledge of capabilities studies, Gage R&R, and machine capability
  • General understanding and ability to read product drawings
