RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Initiate project sustainable design concepts and idea discussions and provide guidance to design teams during project design development.
  • Manage sustainable design consulting services, environment analysis, and conceptual energy modeling.
  • Manage consulting with multiple internal design teams on third party certified and sustainable project attributes.
  • Assist clients, designers, engineers and contractors with sustainable design research and implementation.
  • Manage consulting with external clients on building and non-building projects and collaborating on firm wide sustainable design and consulting projects. Projects will include LEED-NC, LEED-EBOM, LEED-CI, LEED-HC, WELL and fitwel. Projects may include development of sustainable design and operations guidelines, policies and procedures.
  • Manage implementation of office green operations plan.
  • Goal setting and benchmarking projects under HOK's AIA 2030 commitment
  • Prepare materials for sustainable design awards
  • Create sustainable design education program and credential maintenance for the San Francisco/Seattle/Salt Lake City business unit.
  • Take personal responsibility for fostering a green workplace through sustainable work practices and operations.
  • Mentor team members.
  • Foster a commitment to external and internal client service.



EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:



  • Bachelor degree in architecture, mechanical or environmental engineering, interiors or sustainable design required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 6+ years' experience
  • LEED GA or legacy AP required; LEED AP with specialty credential required within 60 days of start date.
