Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactiveLocum Agency Liaisonto serve as the critical connection between our hospital leadership and external locum tenens staffing agencies. This position plays a vital role in ensuring seamless onboarding and operational support for temporary physicians placed at our hospital, maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will work directly with Vice Presidents, Institute Chairs, and department leadership, handling sensitive and complex physician-related matters. This individual must bring both healthcare industry experience and a drive to continuously refine internal policies and procedures to support the effective placement and integration of locum physicians.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary point of contact between the hospital and locum tenens staffing agencies.
  • Coordinate all phases of physician onboarding and offboarding, ensuring full compliance with hospital policies and credentialing standards.
  • Liaise with Vice Presidents, Institute Chairs, and other senior leadership to facilitate appropriate placement and coverage strategies.
  • Maintain meticulous records of assignments, contract terms, performance feedback, and compliance documentation.
  • Protect and manage sensitive, confidential information in accordance with HIPAA and institutional privacy policies.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and actively lead the development of new policies and workflows to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Partner with Human Resources, Credentialing, and Medical Staff Services to streamline communication and support physician integration.
  • Monitor and evaluate agency performance, ensuring alignment with hospital standards and expectations.
  • Provide timely reporting and updates to executive stakeholders on locum usage, trends, and opportunities for optimization.
Qualifications:
  • Required Experience:
    • Minimum of 1 year in administration, talent acquisition, physician services, or locum tenens staffing.
    • Demonstrated experience working with senior leadership and handling high-level communications.
  • Required Skills:
    • Exceptional organizational skills with an acute attention to detail.
    • Proven ability to manage complex workflows and multiple priorities.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Confidentiality and discretion when working with sensitive information.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and healthcare systems (e.g., credentialing software, scheduling tools).
  • Preferred:
    • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
    • Previous experience directly working in a Locum Agency or a physician staffing coordination role.
