The RoleAspen Technology is looking for an Enterprise Program Director for our Enterprise Accounts, reporting directly to the VP, Professional Services. This individual contributor will be a leader who embraces and anticipates the challenges of evolving our organization for future acceleration and growth. The Enterprise Program Director will serve as a thought-partner to the VP, Professional Services and effectively collaborate with and work across all functional areas of the Professional Services organization.

As a strategic thinker and operational doer, the successful candidate will concentrate on the most meaningful focus areas at this fast-growing company. Responsibilities will include facilitating and driving accountability for high-impact, visible and varied challenges across our global footprint and will be measured by the leader's ability to increase leverage, velocity and execution of large programs ($1M+). This person will be involved in a wide range of activities, from the highly strategic to the tactical, taking a hands-on approach in leading and facilitating a variety of initiatives. This will include mentoring project managers, overseeing and managing the delivery of cutting-edge technology projects to market leading companies. The position requires an individual who can come in and quickly gain the institutional knowledge to understand how to get things done at AspenTech, leveraging interpersonal and collaboration skills to influence the change required to deliver business value. Your Impact
  • Works directly with the VP, Professional Services, Solution Enablement Center and Sales to drive strategic planning and support operational priorities of the Company.
  • Provides oversight and guidance to projects of high importance, including settling priorities, driving accountability and measuring progress towards successful outcomes
  • Executes significant strategic, operational and cultural agendas
  • Strategically oversees, monitors, and manages large programs (multiple work streams, pre and post sales).
  • Assess the needs of the large programs and provide leadership.
  • Work cross functionally within AspenTech and the Emerson COE to secure staffing to support any assigned programs.
  • Recommend improvements to increase the effectiveness of the programs and changes to a project that is ongoing if it appears it is not proceeding on schedule or is producing unsatisfactory results.
  • Developing and driving compliance for processes and procedures required to keep programs on budget, on schedule and with exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Delivering multiple software implementation projects on budget and on schedule with high customer satisfaction.
  • Execution of all phases of project management from the initial bid, project resourcing, project initiation, project execution and closeout.
  • Candidate will provide leadership to the large programs and will be responsible for developing and enforcing processes and procedures for large scale programs. In addition to serving as the functional supervision of contractors, consultants, and engineers assigned to the projects.
  • Compliance with all reporting, project administration and documentation requirements.
  • Communicate and develop relationships with clients
  • Ensures a high degree of customer satisfaction through world-class delivery practices.
  • Work collaboratively with other internal teams, such as R&D, Customer Support, Product Management, Sales and Customer Success organizations.
  • Provide thought leadership and if required, be a change agent, to roll out new processes, procedures and solutions to manage large programs.
What You'll Need
  • Requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree, with a minimum of 15+ years of relevant and/or educational experience
  • Must have a minimum of 3+ years of experience building and managing a Project Management Office (PMO) including strategic planning, simplification, and execution.
  • Has managed and coordinated subcontractor management
