About the role

As the Senior Software Engineer I you'll solve complex business needs by delivering quality code with minimal guidance and supervision. You will contribute to design elements, leverage engineering best practices, and elevate team processes. Be excellent problem solver and can mentor others. Provide assistance and guidance to junior engineers within the team as needed.

What you'll do in the role



  • Develop secure, high quality, performant code, using the required programming languages and tools while following team standards.
  • Leverage reusable solutions within the team.
  • Collaborate, participate in and approve code reviews.
  • Merge Production-ready code for deployment.
  • Analyze performance metrics, find inefficiencies, and optimize code performance.
  • Define and perform unit testing of code.
  • Support functional and regression testing as required. Perform integration/interface testing as required.
  • Design, configure, and support automated code builds and deployments.
  • Responsible for meeting team automated build standards.
  • Lead root cause analysis activities for production issues.

Compensation

Salary Range: $103,300 - $172,200 plus eligibility for annual bonus program.

Who you are


  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field, OR relevant accredited technical certification, OR equivalent work experience.
  • 4 years of combined experience in multiple of the following technology domains: Cloud (serverless, containers, infrastructure as code, cloud computing services), Client-server (.Net, Java), Web (ASP.Net, Python, JavaScript, responsive design), Database (SQL, MySQL, DB2, DocumentDB), Mainframe (COBOL, JCL, CICS).
  • Proficiency of software testing patterns and methodologies.
  • Ability to create designs and provide input into others' designs
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effectively deals with ambiguity and brings clarity to complex topics within the team
  • Able to coordinate and oversee work of junior engineers within the team
  • Able to articulate and share information within the team, across teams, and with business stakeholders
  • Full proficiency with Agile software delivery practices.
