Director of Distribution - Kapco Grafton, WI

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Distribution to lead and optimize our distribution operations. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient, cost-effective, and timely delivery of goods across all channels while driving innovation, automation, and continuous improvement.

Primary Responsibilities



  • Lead and oversee all distribution operations to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery across all channels.
  • Design and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, accuracy, and service levels.
  • Execute strategic plans to optimize warehouse layout and inventory flow.
  • Leverage data analytics and KPIs to monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline end-to-end operations.
  • Champion the adoption of automation, technology, and best practices to modernize distribution capabilities.
  • Establish and enforce SOPs to ensure consistency, safety, and compliance.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of distribution managers and staff.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and operational excellence.
  • Support the implementation of a Warehouse Management System (WMS) within distribution operations.


Qualifications



  • Proven experience leading large-scale distribution or logistics operations.
  • Proficiency in WMS, ERP platforms, and data visualization tools.
  • Demonstrated success in operational transformation and process optimization.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Experience implementing automation and technology in warehouse environments.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage change effectively.
