YOUR OPPORTUNITY


We have an exciting Growing Pig Care Manager opportunity in our Perryton, TX location. The Growing Pig Care Manager will be responsible for collaborating with veterinary teams to implement and maintain herd health plans. You will serve as a liaison between growing pig sites and health/welfare leadership while conducting routine farm visits to monitor care practices, provide coaching, and assess protocol adherence.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Support biosecurity compliance and lead response efforts during disease outbreaks (e.g., PED, PRRS)
  • Monitor treatment and mortality data, investigating deviations and identifying root causes
  • Ensure accurate medication administration, withdrawal compliance, and proper documentation
  • Train caretakers and supervisors on best practices in pig care and daily management
  • Mentor farm staff on early identification and response to health and welfare issues
  • Review and analyze daily production metrics such as treatment rates, mortality and average daily gain (ADG)
  • Identify trends and partner with production teams to develop and implement solutions
  • Foster a culture of accountability, compassion, and continuous improvement in animal care
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Veterinarian

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred


or two to four years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.



  • Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred, not required.


SCHEDULE (A Shift) - As needed or if the schedule is outside of regular business hours
