Position Overview:
Term: 6 months
Location: Parkville, MO
Pay: $50.00 - $60.00; commensurate with experience
Hours: Standard business

We are seeking a mid-level Solutions Architect / DevOps Engineer with strong experience in Microsoft Azure environments. The ideal candidate will have a blended skillset in architecture, automation, infrastructure-as-code, and security monitoring. Experience in IoT solutions is highly desirable. This individual will work closely with technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud-based applications and services.

What you'll do as the Solutions Architect:

  • Architect and implement CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps to support application development and deployment.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to design and deliver cloud-native solutions.
  • Monitor and manage security, firewalls, and system health across Azure resources.
  • Build and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like ARM Templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of IoT solutions and edge-device integration.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational security standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a technical liaison between stakeholders, translating business requirements into scalable solutions.
  • Participate in solution reviews, risk assessments, and performance tuning activities.
  • Provide technical leadership on DevOps best practices, tooling, and delivery processes.
What you will bring to the team:
  • 3-5 years of experience in a Solutions Architect or DevOps role within a Microsoft Azure environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Git-based workflows.
  • Experience with monitoring tools and implementing security best practices (e.g., Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Sentinel).
  • Familiarity with firewall rules, network security groups, and threat detection.
  • Experience with IoT systems, edge computing, or device integration.
  • Proficiency with scripting tools such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Strong understanding of containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Solid grasp of business needs, solution delivery, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-400, AZ-305)
  • ISO 27001 Certification
  • Experience with Power BI or other Microsoft reporting tools
  • Background working in agile or hybrid project delivery environments
  • Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
