What you'll be doing

This position provides an array of services to a mixed caseload of individuals suffering from serious and persistent emotional, mental, and/or substance use disorders. Services are offered in individual and group settings utilizing evidence-based practices and skills compliant with program standards. Provide technical review of licensed mental health trainees in accordance with scope of practice guidelines. This position performs duties that require discretion when preparing, disclosing, and handling information that is confidential, controversial, or sensitive in nature. Duties include exercising judgement and discretion in accordance with the parameters set by leadership.

Major Responsibilities/Activities

  • Coordinates and directs the work of trainees, reviews the trainee's workload and productivity.
  • Oversee the orientation of newly hired trainees.
  • Establishes and maintains effective and respectful working relationships with staff.
  • Oversee trainees utilizing mentoring, coaching, and other appropriate techniques; counsels' trainees and recommends additional training needs as necessary to the Division Director.
  • Reviews case records for completeness, consistency, and quality of mental health services provided including application of proper techniques; ensures compliance with state and federal mandates.
  • Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions, including detailed documentation of diagnostic evaluation, patient interaction, treatment plan, progress notes, discharges.
  • Participate in the intake process by interviewing clients and /or family members to obtain relevant historical patient information and conduct mental health screenings and assessments.
  • Collaborate with patient in the development of individual and group treatment plans. Assist individuals in identifying resources and/or services that will be of benefit to the individual such as but not limited to, housing, support groups, medication management, etc.

What we need from you

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a related field (i.e. psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, or other social services fields).
  • Three years' relevant experience, as well as 25 hours of experience in supervision of clinical practice and complete 15 hours of training in clinical supervision.
  • Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), or an equally qualified licensed mental health practitioner.
