Ziegler currently has an opening for a Parts Backorder Expeditor. This person will be responsible for controlling and maintaining the flow of parts, and all necessary system transactions to accurately track goods at all Ziegler locations. This position leads the communication and resolution of all out-of-stock situations balancing customer satisfaction, inventory investment, and logistics expenses. They will play a critical role in delivering parts on-time-in-full to meet customer service and delivery requirements in a fast paced parts distribution environment.
Responsibilities: * Manage customer backorders for all Ziegler locations * Organize and publish fixed route schedules from suppliers, and to/from all Ziegler locations * Track and resolve user issues using Ziegler's incident tracking software * Track out-of-stock rates against target and recommend appropriate revisions to inventory parameters * Analyze backorder patterns from customer purchasing history and recommend changes to stocking levels, including short and long term trend analysis by major/minor categories and by customer * Provide backup for other Inventory Control department positions as needed * High school diploma or GED required; 4-year degree preferred * APICS CPIM or relevant professional planning association certification preferred * 5 - 7 years of experience in the construction or agricultural machinery industry preferred Up to 10% travel Minimum physical requirements: * Standing, talking, hearing, using hands. The pay range for this position is $26.32 to $31.57Starting wage is dependent on skills, experience, education and location. Pay range may vary by 10% depending upon the applicant's location.
