Job Overview

The Regional Driver Manager plays a critical leadership role in the daily operations of over-the-road (OTR) transportation and oversees the safe and timely execution of order deliveries, pick-ups, and overall freight movement in accordance with approved plans and operational goals across the Red Classic network. This includes managing driver performance, trip planning, and compliance with safety regulations and company policies. The role requires consistent communication and collaboration with drivers and cross-functional teams to maintain operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. The position relies on logistics support systems and platforms-such as TMW, Samsara, Quickbase, and SharePoint-to monitor operations, track performance metrics, document logistics activity, and support overall transportation planning.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervise and provide daily support to a fleet of OTR drivers
  • Coordinate and monitor freight delivery and pick-up schedules
  • Collaborate with planning, customer service, and warehouse teams to optimize performance
  • Coach and retain drivers through proactive communication and performance management
  • Foster a safe culture environment to drive total compliance with all regulations as it relates to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration
  • Manage the delivery of Key Performance Indicators ensuring optimum driver and unit performance, including but not limited to; On-Time Delivery Percentage, Driver Turnover, Revenue per Mile, Driver, Tractor, Trailer Utilization, Empty Miles, Miles per Truck per Week
  • Utilize systems such as TMW, Samsara, Quickbase, and SharePoint to track and manage operations
  • Implement continuous improvement methods while maintaining customer focus, and embodying company purpose and values to inspire servant leadership

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Strong understanding of over-the-road (OTR) trucking operations, DOT regulations, and FMCSA compliance requirements
  • Familiarity with driver hours-of-service rules, safety standards, and best practices in driver management
  • Ability to mediate and resolve driver concerns and performance issues professionally
  • Ability to recognize, evaluate, and resolve problems while dispatching drivers in real time.
  • Capable of managing multiple drivers, loads, and schedules while maintaining accuracy and efficiency
  • Capable of working independently, without constant supervision
  • Proficiency in using fleet management and logistics systems such as TMW, Samsara, Quickbase, and SharePoint

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 years of education beyond high school in college or technical school

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge acquired through 1 to up to 3 years of work experience

Work environment will vary


Schedule: 8am to 5pm, Monday-Friday, possible weekend work
