Description

    Acting as a member of the NS IPT SHARKCAGE Engineering Team
  • Performing engineering analysis, testing and evaluation support, and verifying DCO capabilities.
  • Installing, configuring and maintaining SHARKCAGE lab components related to traffic analysis and network security devices
  • Serving as the SME for network security and traffic analysis systems, with a focus on understanding interdependence and integration with existing network security solutions
  • Assisting with site support as needed for deployed SHARKCAGE systems with respect to network and tap capabilities
  • Assisting with site installations as needed for new SHARKCAGE deployments or upgrades

Requirements

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in relevant technical field, to include:
    • Design, test, configuration, deployment and support of network analysis and network security tools (such as IPS/IDS)
    • In-depth knowledge of network traffic and packet analysis, with tools such as Wireshark or Zeek
  • DoD 8570.1 IAT Level II certifications:

    • Must have one of the following security certifications: CSEC, Security+, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP



Desired Skills

  • Experience with network analysis and network security devices (IPS, Firewall, other network security analysis tools such as Suricata, Zeek, or Trellix/FireEye)
  • Experience in deploying, configuring, supporting and troubleshooting network security solutions
  • Broad and in-depth experience with cybersecurity engineering and general systems engineering principles
  • Familiarity with technical writing, with respect to technical system documentation, testing methodologies, requirements analysis and test reports
  • Experience utilizing DISA STIGs to harden and secure network security devices
  • Knowledge of the RMF process and supporting deliverables is a plus
  • Design, testing and validation experience on DoD-deployed systems
  • A networking certification (such as Cisco CCNA, or equivalent) is highly encouraged

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL WITH TOP SECRET ELIGIBILITY
