Job Summary

Caltech is seeking a skilled recruiter for a temporary role to support recruitment needs across the institute while implementing our upcoming Human Capital Management (HCM) system. This position will manage full cycle recruiting for staff positions while assisting with the transition from our current ATS (Taleo) to the new HCM platform. The ideal candidate will have extensive recruitment experience and adaptability to work effectively during a period of technology modernization. A passion for Caltech's mission and alignment with our values is essential for the successful candidate.

This is a one-year temporary assignment.

Essential Job Duties

Recruitment Operations

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand needs and develop recruitment strategies
  • Source, screen, and present qualified candidates for staff positions across multiple departments
  • Manage job postings and candidate communications throughout the hiring process
  • Conduct interviews and provide recommendations to hiring teams
  • Extend and negotiate offers to selected candidates
  • Collaborate with HR team members and other stakeholders

Candidate Experience & Relationship Management

  • Create exceptional candidate experiences that reflect Caltech's values and enhance our employer brand
  • Maintain proactive communication with candidates throughout the recruitment lifecycle using automated and personalized touchpoints
  • Build and nurture talent pipelines for critical roles and emerging skill sets
  • Conduct thorough candidate assessments using behavioral interviewing
  • Perform other related responsibilities as required or assigned
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4 years of full life cycle recruitment experience
  • Experience with ATS platforms and HRIS systems
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and compliance requirements
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with system implementations
  • Experience in higher education or research environments
  • Knowledge of OFFCP compliance
  • Familiarity with Taleo

Hiring Range

$82,000 per year

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
