Job Description: The Data Quality Engineer at Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company in Franklin, WI will validate and verify functionality of New Business App Input application for various products and plans supported under Life and Disability Insurance. Apply software life cycle and design patterns to understand technical features. Participate in Agile Sprint ceremonies. Utilize Jira, Gitlab, Testing Frameworks, Xray, Postman. Understand and analyze business requirements for technical projects and design test plans. Test Windows, database, and web based applications. Document test plan and scenarios and design test cases accordingly. Participate in functional testing, integration testing, and regression testing. Automate prioritized test scenarios and maintain existing automated scenarios. Conduct testing activities including database, web or infrastructure testing. Maintain requirements traceability matrix to assure completeness of test procedures. Utilize APIs and associated protocols, as well as JSON, REST, or SOAP. Keep track of all the defects and monitor them across the environment. Telecommuting permitted 3 days per week. Salary $109,779- $172,380 per year. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical and Electronic Engineering or a related field plus 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer or related occupation. Experience must include 5 years with each of the following: (1) testing Windows, Database, and Web based applications; (2) testing activities including database, web, mobile, or infrastructure testing; (3) Mainframe testing; (4) APIs and associated protocols; (5) JSON, REST, or SOAP; (6) Jira, Gitlab, Testing Frameworks, Xray, and Postman; and (7) developing solution delivery using agile methods and requirements.
