The Role We Are Offering You
CAE is expanding its pioneering Air Traffic Services (ATS) training programs and is seeking a Training Program Specialist to support the design, development, and evolution of training programs aligned with our global growth strategy. As an ATS Training Program Specialist, you will act as a subject matter expert in ATS training and contribute to the development of new business cases and training program offerings. You will work closely with internal stakeholders such as proposal teams, curriculum developers, subject matter experts, and operational teams to ensure training programs are aligned with regulatory standards, customer requirements, and CAE's instructional excellence. This role is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of air traffic services training (Flight Service or Air Traffic Control) who thrives in a developmental, collaborative, and innovation-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support strategic program expansion by contributing subject matter expertise to proposals, business cases, and new market development opportunities. Act as a training expert on ATS training programs (initial, continuation, and specialty), contributing to curriculum design and adaptation for different customers or regulatory bodies. Design and review training materials, ensuring alignment with both customer and regulatory standards (e.g., ICAO, Transport Canada, EU, FAA). Storyboard training modules, identifying instructional objectives, simulation integration, and multimedia content needs in coordination with internal development teams. Support the implementation of new training programs, including instructor onboarding, curriculum testing, and training delivery support. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts for existing training programs based on feedback, evaluations, and performance data. Maintain current knowledge of ATS industry standards and emerging trends in training technology, pedagogy, and operational requirements.
Our Ideal Candidate Has
Minimum of 3 years of experience in air traffic services, either as a Flight Service Specialist or Air Traffic Controller, Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Instructor or Training Designer Solid understanding of ATS operational environments, training methodologies, and instructional systems design. Experience with courseware development tools, eLearning platforms, or training development lifecycle processes. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate training requirements and program intent. Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external stakeholders. Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Aviation, Education, Instructional Design, or equivalent experience in ATS operations and training).
Assets That Set You Apart
Experience with multiple regulatory frameworks Familiarity with training program certification processes and training needs analysis. Project-based work experience or support of business development initiatives in the aviation or training sectors.
