The Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (Dir FP&A) acts as a steward of the Company's finances by leading financial, analytical, and decision activities, offering solutions and thought Leadership, and equipping Leaders with information and analysis that drives prudent, strategic decision-making. This role collaborates with the SVP and VP to align and strategize the financial planning process. The Dir FP&A is a skilled communicator, who is ready to drive the future of Southwest's Finances.

Responsibilities
- Lead high-performing Teams providing financial, analytical, and decision support ensuring that each is data-driven and built on productive and collaborative partnerships across the organization
- Oversee the identification of financial risks and ensure mitigation strategies are developed and executed when necessary
- Develop the strategy for comprehensive financial, analytical, and decision support at the Team, Department, and/or Executive level
- Advise and guide on short-term and long-term financial objectives, policies, and actions and financial, variance, and trending analysis for key cost drivers and metrics
- Advise and guide the preparation and consolidation of financial projections/results and corresponding communication for departments
- Drive successful performance management, talent management and talent pipelines
- May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
- Skilled in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
- Skilled in collecting, organizing, visualizing and assimilating data, including turning raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software
- Skilled in managing one's own time and the time of others
- Ability to listen to, understand, and communicate ideas presented in writing and/or in speaking with others
- Ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events)
- Ability to shift back and forth between two or more activities or sources of information (such as speech, sounds, touch, or other sources)

Education
- Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
- Preferred: Tech Ops/Fleet experience.
- Demonstrated experience in directly or indirectly leading team(s)
- Advanced level Business Acumen in functional area
- Seasoned and specialized knowledge in:
- Financial Planning & Analysis principles and practices
Physical Abilities
- Ability to perform work duties from limited space work station/desk/office area for extended periods of time
- Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
- Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
Other Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
- Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
Pay & Benefits: Competitive market salary from $189,450 per year to $210,500 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company. Benefits you'll love:
