Job Summary

Seeking a highly organized and collaborative professional to lead and support accounting process improvement initiatives, system readiness, and cross-functional projects. This role is responsible for evaluating existing accounting and business workflows, identifying opportunities for efficiency, and implementing enhancements with business partners.

This is a Hybrid position. Two days required onsite (Tuesday & Thursday) other three days remote if desired.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Process Efficiency

*Analyze current accounting and business processes to identify opportunities for standardization, efficiencies, and potential opportunities for automation.

*Design and implement streamlined workflows that enhance accuracy, reduce manual effort, and improve standardization of processes.

System Readiness & Enhancements

*Collaborate with IT to enhance system optimization and ensure alignment with financial and business needs.

*Conduct data validation in business process transitions to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness; Collaborate with stakeholders to uphold data integrity through process transition.

*Participate in system upgrades, testing, and implementation of new tools or modules.

*Serve as a liaison between accounting and technology teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Project Management

*Lead and manage accounting-related projects from initiation through completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic goals.

*Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocations.

*Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and communicate updates to stakeholders.

*Work closely with internal departments and/or external organizations to ensure alignment and integration.

*Learn and document existing accounting processes through observation, collaboration, and data analysis.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

*Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

*5 years' experience in accounting, project accounting, accounting operations/process improvement or similar work.

*Deep understanding of accounting principles, accounting operations and financial systems.

*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze financial data, identify variances and propose solutions.

*Strong project management skills with understanding of methodologies and practices.

*Effective organizational and time management skills to prioritize projects and meet established timelines.

*Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office such as Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel, primarily pivot tables, Index/Match, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, array formulas, etc.

*Excellent communication skills and effective collaboration with cross-functional onsite and remote business partners.

Preferred Qualifications

*Current Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or currently pursuing.

*Current Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or currently pursuing.

*Current Project Management Professional (PMP).

*Manufacturing or retail industry experience.

*Experience with business intelligence resources, such as Incorta or Cognos.

*Proficiency in enterprise application systems, such as Oracle.
