Job Description

This is a critical position in a dynamic college. We are looking for a Recruiter of Undergraduate students for the Trulaske College of Business. This position will communicate the benefits of attending MU and studying business and completing a change of major at Mizzou. To drive recruitment efforts, the person in the position will:

  • Develop marketing materials
  • Communicate with prospective students about academic program opportunities via Slate technology platform, off campus at college fairs, and by hosting students and families on campus
  • Work with high school counselors and business instructors to promote MU and the Trulaske College
  • Coordinate summer recruitment and retention programs such as Trulaske Experience and TruWelcome
  • Facilitate the Change of Major process
  • Work collaboratively with other recruitment team members, student ambassadors, student workers, staff and faculty
  • Additionally, the recruiter will analyze data related to prospective students as well as incoming freshmen and transfer students to identify areas for improvement as related to recruitment and yield of admitted students

To be successful, Recruiters will have the ability to attract and engage with prospective students and their families, develop and deliver presentations, communicate orally and in writing, work closely with Academic Advising and degree and program requirements, and create and monitor recruitment metrics.

Shift

Monday through Friday, 8AM - 5PM

Occasional nights and weekends, travel required

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in fields such as Business Administration, Education, Public Affairs, etc. Experience working on a college campus is preferred; specifically experience related to student recruitment or advising.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $58,000 - $62,000 a year

Grade: GGS - 010

University Title: Senior Student Service Coordinator
