DESCRIPTION OF WORK

Specific duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: typing and proofreading of any and all case material (i.e. case records, forms, correspondence, and court summaries); receptionist duties; room reservations; logging drug test kits; dispensing tokens, gift cards, Septa passes; and operating the switchboard. You will also interact with coworkers, agency staff, clients, and professionals; maintain and distribute supplies and forms; monitor and provide routine maintenance for fax machine and other office equipment; take minutes at assigned meetings (i.e. unit meetings); and file, scan, copy, and maintain any and all case material. You may also be expected to provide clerical coverage in other office sites as deemed necessary by the Clerical Supervisor I, and other activities as necessary to maintain the Upper Darby Clerical Unit and other clerical functions of the agency. - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerk Typist 1 and educational development to the level of eighth grade; or
- Completion of a high school business curriculum which included at least one typing course; or
- Any combination of equivalent experience and training.
Other Requirements:
- Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Delaware County. If no eligible candidates who live within Delaware County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
