Position Summary:

Applied Training Solutions, LLC is seeking a qualified Building Support Specialist to assist in managing and supporting Division facilities (SEOC and Sadowski) during State emergencies. This position will help ensure smooth operation of building functions and support staff responsible for facilities, fleet, security, courier, and mail services, particularly during extended or non-standard hours of operation.

Key Responsibilities:




  • Support the operational readiness of SEOC and Sadowski buildings during emergency activations





  • Assist staff responsible for facilities management, fleet oversight, security coordination, courier delivery, and mailroom operations





  • Provide staffing support during non-conventional hours, multiple operational periods, and extended activations





  • Monitor building systems and report issues to appropriate staff for resolution





  • Support incident logistics through internal deliveries, supply transport, and general building coordination





  • Ensure facilities are stocked and organized to support ongoing operations





  • Assist in emergency preparedness drills and daily operational routines as required




Basic Qualifications:




  • 1+ years of experience in facilities support, building operations, or related role





  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including overnight and extended operational periods





  • Familiarity with building systems, logistics operations, or facility services





  • Strong communication and organizational skills





  • Ability to lift and move equipment or materials up to 50 lbs.





  • Must be a U.S. citizen




Preferred Qualifications:




  • Experience supporting government or emergency operations centers





  • Familiarity with SEOC or Sadowski Building protocols





  • Background in security, mailroom, or courier operations





  • Ability to work effectively in high-tempo environments

  • Performance Location: On-site while on assignment (location TBD)

  • Travel Required: Yes - up to 100% while on assignment




Working Environment:

The usual work environment includes operational buildings, office settings, and emergency operations centers. Duties may include extended work hours beyond 12 hours per day, night shifts, and physically demanding tasks such as moving supplies or setting up logistics stations. Travel may include locations throughout the continental United States and its territories.
