ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

Hiring Range: $88,800 - $100,000

The Healthcare Services Project Manager II manages project scope, implementation priorities, client communications, and quality delivery of projects. The Project Manager (PM) coordinates internal resources and external clients to support the timely delivery of Performant payment integrity products and services and is responsible for the oversight of the implementation of new products with new or existing clients. This PM must demonstrate strong leadership skills to minimize delays and continue to appropriately advance all assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops and manages project/action plans to ensure accurate project delivery, such as platform enhancements, customer on-boarding, and account readiness.

  • Able to effectively share information and transfer knowledge to functional areas and account managers.

  • Oversees team members to ensure all project tasks are completed on a timely basis; resolve team and project conflicts, provide project leadership to cross-functional team members, escalate project risks to leadership as needed.

  • Responsible for communication and dissemination of critical project information from customers to internal areas and executive level areas.

  • Evaluates progress and updates management and key stakeholders on status, including progress, timelines, and milestones; provides timely written and/or verbal updates regarding project status.

  • Subject Matter Expert on all new business on-boarding processes.

  • Anticipates risk, develops mitigation plan, and leads process improvement activities.

  • Practices effective and strategic decision-making.

  • Develop and maintain process flows, tools, and procedures to ensure consistent implementation projects from client to client.

  • Interact with clients in a professional manner and respond quickly to customer requests.

  • Facilitate and lead project meetings, including client kickoffs and internal coordination sessions, ensuring alignment on scope, expectations, and deliverables.

  • Travel as required to Performant office(s), client office(s), or other business/industry meetings.

  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

  • A successful track record of managing multiple projects effectively.

  • Strong business and technical understanding along with analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

  • Solution oriented with a focus on innovative and proactive approaches to resolve customer challenges and issues.

  • Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills with ability to balance multiple priorities and projects.

  • Good critical thinking, questioning, and listening skills; excellent attention to detail.

  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to manage cross-functional teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to ensure process compliance while driving operational efficiencies through continuous improvement and business process re-engineering.

  • C-level interface and presentation skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to synthesize information from multiple sources required to troubleshoot issues and lead assigned initiatives.

  • Ability to work independently with work instruction in the form of objectives with minimal oversight.

  • Ability to deliver day-to-day support to the business with a professional attitude and exceptional organization skills under pressure.

  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing business requirements and applying skills in effective and innovative ways to meet dynamic business needs.

  • Ability to leverage standard office systems and applications; Intermediate proficiency in implementation/project management tools including but not limited to: JIRA, Smartsheet, MS Suite of Products; Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.

  • Ability to develop and lead through influence, build trust, and foster collaboration across teams.

Required and Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in related business or industry or equivalent business experience

  • PMP Certification a plus

  • 3+ years of client service or account management experience preferred

  • 5+ years working as a Project Manager or experience managing complex program implementations for health plans with proven ability to execute projects and achieve results

  • Relevant healthcare industry experience with data analytics, cost management or payment integrity vendor companies and health plans.

  • Intermediate proficiency in implementation/project management tools including but not limited to: JIRA, Smartsheet, MS Suite of Products; Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.

  • Experience with SharePoint and Confluence desired
