The NAGPRA (Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act) Program Specialist reports to the NAGPRA Repatriation Coordinator who is the University employee assigned responsibility for facilitating the daily implementation of NAGPRA and CalNAGPRA, especially as amended by AB 275, and curatorial projects in compliance with the related regulations as supported by the UCR Chancellor's Designee. The NAGPRA Program Specialist will assist the NAGPRA Repatriation Coordinator in the identification and documentation of human remains, returning objects, investigating, database maintenance, communication and administrative duties to ensure compliance.

The full salary range for the NAGPRA Program Specialist is $28.88 - $46.46 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
