Pharmacy Technician (000332)

Under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, pharmacy technicians will assist pharmacists in the preparation and distribution of medications, while maintaining drug inventory. Adherence to Federal, State, and local laws, along with other regulatory requirements regarding pharmacy and institutional practice, is mandatory. Technicians will perform related work, rotating between satellites, tours, and shifts.

• Rotate assignments and tours under pharmacist supervision to meet departmental needs.
• Perform work accurately with attention to detail within specified time periods.
• Receive, return, and deliver medications, medication carts, and supplies to various hospital areas.
• Operate equipment properly and troubleshoot automated dispensing systems as needed.

Must be licensed to practice as a Registered Pharmacy Technician by the NYSED.

• One year of inpatient experience required.
• Experience with Omnicell implementation.
• Preferred experience in pharmacy dispensing, sterile processing, and IV room.

Shift: 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM. Rotating weekends is a requirement, and workers must report as scheduled, including holidays. Please ensure your ability to commit to the schedule provided by the facility.
