POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT

Moss' HR Coordinator plays a key role in shaping the new hire experience and supporting broader HR operations. This position is responsible for driving seamless onboarding, managing day-to-day HR data processes, and contributing to employee lifecycle initiatives such as recruitment, compliance, employee engagement, and offboarding. Must bring strong clerical and coordination skills, experience with HR systems (such as Workday), intermediate Excel skills (including spreadsheets and pivot tables), and a proactive mindset toward supporting HR administrative functions.

This role requires both administrative precision and interpersonal engagement. From the moment a new hire accepts their offer to their integration into Moss culture, the HR Coordinator ensures a thoughtful, compliant, and high-quality experience. Additionally, this position requires physical mobility across workspaces to coordinate onboarding logistics and support operational needs.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate the end-to-end onboarding process for all new salaried employees, ensuring each hire feels welcomed, supported, and equipped from day one

  • Serve as a go-to resource for new employees, responding to HR inquiries and supporting their integration into Moss during the onboarding period

  • Attend weekly meetings to collaborate with IT to ensure workspaces, tools, and system access are set up in advance of start dates

  • Facilitates select components of new hire orientation and supports onboarding of new team members and leaders

  • Provide general administrative support to HR day-to-day operations, including scheduling, document preparation, and correspondence

  • Responsible for running new hire demographics and employee verifications, including but not limited to: Background Checks, E-Verify, and Department of Revenue

  • Ensure ongoing compliance with federal Form I-9 requirements, including accurate completion, verification, reverification, and retention of employment eligibility documentation

  • Maintains compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and Moss HR policies

  • Maintain employee/driver DOT compliance files and work with employees to obtain DOT records for CDL and non-CDL drivers

  • Provide exceptional customer service to team members regarding any Human Resource questions or issues

  • Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources or related field

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is required

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Maintain integrity, dependability, attention to detail, cooperation, and stress tolerance for fast a paced environment

  • Strong sense of confidentiality and professionalism regarding personnel information and sensitive subjects

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage time, prioritize work effectively, and remain productive amid frequent interruptions

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation skills and phone etiquette

  • Demonstrates detailed knowledge of company goals and missions

  • Capable of establishing and nurturing longstanding relationships with industry professionals

  • Service orientation - actively looking for ways to help people
