We are seeking a Solution-Level Software System Engineer to join our team to support the Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office.

Responsibilities

As a member of the Solutions System Engineering Team, responsibilities include prioritizing capabilities to be worked on during a given Program Increment (PI) and collaborating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to better understand the scope of each Initiative or Capability. This role involves assembling artifacts and related information into Solutions Initiative Documents (SIDs) and Solutions Engineering Documents (SEDs), as well as refining Jira tickets as needed. It also includes modeling Capability behavior (SV-1, SV-4) using the MagicDraw MBSE tool and creating or modifying existing behavior to incorporate functions and data exchanges/signals. The position requires defining Acceptance Criteria for each Capability, tracing those criteria to behaviors within the model, and determining which current Capabilities Description Document (CDD) and System Specification requirements are being satisfied-then establishing those links within the model. Additional duties involve recommending follow-up Feature tickets to be implemented at the Program Level, facilitating and leading both internal and formal reviews of Initiatives/Capabilities, adjudicating review comments, and transitioning approved Capabilities/Features to the backlog by drafting them in Jira. Active participation in team stand-ups, planning meetings, retrospectives, prioritization sessions, and other duties as assigned is also expected.
