Electrical Designer / Drafter

Electrical Job scope:

Complete electrical infrastructure design packages, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, and equipment layouts for facility systems. * Develop and deliver I&C (Instrumentation & Controls) design documentation, such as control panel layouts, wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, and instrument specifications. * Produce accurate and code-compliant calculations and technical reports, including load studies, voltage drop, and short-circuit analysis. * Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical and I&C systems with civil, mechanical, and structural designs. * Support additional engineering tasks assigned by supervising engineers, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables aligned with project goals.

Must have AutoCAD technical skills for design/drafting.

1. What is their CAD software proficiency....do they have Autocad 2D experience? etc.
2. How many years of experience do they have with different disciplines...have they designed mechanical, electrical , structural drawings...need a multi-disciplined drafter/designer
3. Industry alignment...do they have DOE/nuclear experience? not a deal breaker if they don't
4. Project experience - the complexity and scope as seen on their resume of the projects they worked on
5. Deliverables they generated from their designs - Bill of Materials, etc.
6. Communication and collaboration with engineers and other team members...is this reflected on their resume/job write up?
