JOB TITLE: UAV PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN (UAVTII) DEPARTMENT: UAV PRODUCTION REPORTS TO: UAV PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR CLASSIFICATION: NON-EXEMPT STATUS: FULL-TIME Job Summary: Under minimal Supervision, the UAV Production Technician II will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and assembly of all aircraft and related equipment. Integrate multiple payload configurations, perform modifications, and program aircraft systems and subsystems. Perform preventive maintenance, and repair of infrastructure equipment and associated electrical/ mechanical ground components. Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform complex assembly, testing, and integration of electromechanical components and subassemblies based on provided blueprints and drawings.
- Perform system-level integration and functional testing of UAV systems.
- Maintain and troubleshoot aircraft systems and subsystems
- Align, fit, and join component parts accurately, utilizing precision tools, calibrated hand tools and power tools.
- Perform maintenance, repair, and modifications of aircraft structures and components.
- Unmanned aviation ground handling
- Train and mentor Level I technicians.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve build issues and suggest improvements.
- Maintain equipment used to support aircraft mission efforts
- Comply with production procedures and maintenance manual
- Perform other duties as are necessary and/or required
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required and 2-5 years of relevant experience
- Ability to obtain U.S. Secret Security Clearance
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to perform routine and preventative maintenance for aircraft systems/subsystems, and ground support equipment.
- Ability to use fabrication machines including drill presses, band saws, upcut saws, press brakes, and metal cutting shears.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team, collaborating with engineers, pilots, and project managers to deliver reliable and effective UAV solutions
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced working environment.
- Recurring FOD training and awareness, upon hire and annually
- Proficient in reading technical drawings and using measurement tools.
- Must be able to obtain a DOT physical and haul trailers to and from offsite locations
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Composite, structural, and/or mechanical repair experience
- Familiar with military aviation operations
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times, more with assistance.
- Work environment consists of various office and manufacturing settings with may have exposure to noise, varying temperatures, smells, and chemicals.
- Ability to traverse manufacturing facility.
