Job Overview

The Production Painter I is an entry-level position in a manufacturing environment responsible for performing basic painting tasks under close supervision. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint using standard tools, and ensuring that finished products meet basic quality standards. The Production Painter I is expected to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols while developing foundational skills in industrial painting.

Key Responsibilities

Basic knowledge of painting processes, including surface preparation (e.g., sanding, masking). Familiarity with using basic painting tools and equipment, such as spray guns, brushes, and rollers. Ability to follow simple work instructions and paint specifications. Attention to detail to ensure even application of paint and basic quality. Adherence to safety guidelines and ability to recognize potential hazards. Must be cross-trained and able to support all Painter I roles.

SALARY: Starting at $21/hour + up to $2/hour for premium shifts

WHEN YOU COULD WORK:

  • 2nd Shift - 2pm - 12am, 2pm-10pm
  • 3rd Shift - 10pm - 6am

Required Skills and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to use and accurately read measuring devices (tape measures).
  • Ability to use hand tools (hammer, wrench, level, etc.).
  • Ability to follow blueprints.
  • Ability to read and interpret Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ability to use a computer with basic proficiency (data entry).

Work Environment
