Position Scope and Charter:
|
We are seeking candidates for the Material Coordinator at the Indianapolis site. The Material Coordinator collaborates with planning, logistics, and factory operations, ensuring that work orders begin with everything required for successful execution. This includes resolving material shortages and maintaining data integrity within our systems. The successful candidate will support overall schedule adherence, drive material readiness, and contribute to production stability through proactive coordination and real-time inventory control.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
|

* Coordinate and verify delivery of materials and documentation to production. * Ensure readiness of orders by reviewing work orders and material availability. * Monitor and track work order progress, addressing barriers to ensure timely completion * Proactively identify and resolve material shortages or discrepancies before impact to production. * Update ERP systems with accurate material movements, completions, and adjustments. * Support inventory audits and cycle counts to maintain system accuracy.

Communication Skills: * Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must. * Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate with various disciplines as well as effectively communicate within a teaming environment. Technical Skills: * Ability to read and understand requirements detailed on drawings is a plus. * Understanding of the application and concepts of Planning including MRP (Demand/Supply) and Inventory Management. Computer Skills: * Proficient in Microsoft Office with particular emphasis on Excel. Familiarity with S4Hana or similar Enterprise Resource Planning software is a plus. Security Requirements: * U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency may be required for government contract compliance. * Must meet requirements to obtain and maintain applicable security clearance if needed.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements * This role is primarily performed on the production floor with frequent walking, standing, and material handling. * Occasional lifting of items up to 40 pounds. * Use of carts, bins, and material handling equipment required. * Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required depending on area assignments.

Minimum Educational / Work Experience Requirements: * High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred. * Minimum of 2 years' experience in materials coordination, production control, or inventory operations. * Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, S4HANA, Oracle, or equivalent. * Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and Outlook. * Understanding of basic manufacturing workflows and inventory control practices. * Ability to read and interpret work instructions, part numbers, and bill of materials. * Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. * Effective communication skills to work across multiple teams and departments.
