Join One Nevada Credit Union's EFT Team! We are currently looking for an EFT Operations Specialist II to perform all of the daily duties and activities of our EFT Operations Specialist I position in addition to performing the more technically demanding functions within the EFT Operations department

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

EFT Technician

o Performs as necessary all required duties of an EFT Operations Specialist I.

ACH control

o Accesses the Optical system to print necessary ACH reject, posting, settlement, and returned item reports;

o Accesses the Federal Reserve Bank Fedline Advantage online system to retrieve statement of ACH activity reports, return item settlement reports and other necessary documents;

o Reconciles reports balancing to General Ledger suspense accounts ensuring all suspense items are at zero and outstanding items are identified;

o Prepares General Ledger posting sheet for input to the General Ledger;

o Analyzes daily return item report ensuring return codes are in compliance with the National Automated Clearing House table of allowed returned entry codes;

o Posts exceptions to members' accounts;

o Reconciles, prepares and balances the final return report;

o Accesses the Federal Reserve Bank Fedline Advantage system and transfers the return file from the Core to the FRB platform ensuring that the file has been received and retains necessary documentation for next day reconcilement;

o Receives and analyzes all member affidavits of disputed and fraudulent ACH debit entries to determine accuracy of information provided and to ensure proper documentation is in place to support the return of the item and determines appropriateness of return action;

o Accesses the Federal Reserve Bank Fedline Advantage online system to create the return entry in accordance with specifications provided by the FRB; and

o Reconciles and maintains General Ledger account of ACH postings to deceased members and returns entries for deceased members ensuring proper timing and return codes are utilized.

Share Draft control

o Accesses the Federal Reserve Bank Fedline Advantage system to retrieve the check MICR and image file;

o Downloads the MICR and image file from the FRB to Image Center system and prepares the files for posting and iniates the post job;

o Accesses the Optical System, printing the reports of unposted activity and retrieving data on posted and unposted figures for balancing purposes;

o Prepares spread sheet balancing the posted and unposted totals from the Optical based reports to the file transmission totals provided by the FRB ensuring General Ledger activity is accurate;

o Accesses the Application Extender Fed Images and analyzes images of the items that did not post in an automated environment to determine if items should be manually paid;

o Prepares items to be paid and reconciles amount of paid and unpaid items to create the final return report;

o Creates and balances a final return report of return items to be transmitted back to the Federal Reserve Bank;

o Accesses the Federal Reserve Bank Fedline Advantage system and transfers the return file from the Core to the FRB platform ensuring that the file has transmitted and retaining necessary documentation for next day reconcilement;

o Accesses the Federal Reserve Bank system to create large return notifications for any items returned with a dollar amount of $2,500 or more;

o Receives and analyzes all branch research requests pertaining to items that have paid for an incorrect amount, items that have been paid twice and all other check clearing issues or adjustments, determines appropriate action and adjusts accounts accordingly;

o Accesses the Federal Reserve Bank Fedline Advantage system Check Adjustment platform and creates the necessary adjustment entry using the specifications and proper entry codes required by the FRB;

o Examines the Federal Reserve Bank Daily Statement of Activity, identifies prior day file transmission entries are in balance with the received file;

o Identifies all adjustment entries and if prior day settlement, makes appropriate General Ledger entries and determines if further action is necessary; and

o Receives and processes fraud related items from the Auditing department;

Wire Transfers

o Accesses the Federal Reserve Bank Fedline Advantage online system to perform opening procedures which include retrieving the prior day Statement of Activity; the Subsidiary Statement and any incoming wire transfer notifications;

o Confirms that prior day activity is accurately reflected for cash letter deposit and wire activity on the Statement of Activity;

o Examines incoming wire transfer information, accesses the Core computer system and determines appropriateness of posting each wire in accordance with departmental and Credit Union procedures;

o Validate incoming and outgoing wire data is not on the blocked OFAC list;

o Maintains a balanced and accounted for total of all incoming and outgoing wires;

o Posts incoming wire transfers to member accounts and incoming settlement wires using appropriate General Ledger offsets;

o Performs regular connections to the Federal Reserve Bank to retrieve additional incoming member and settlement wire transfer information no less then every 30 to 45 minutes;

o Receives outgoing member wire transfer orders from co-workers and/or members and departments and debits members accounts for outgoing wire requests and offsets appropriate General Ledger accounts;

o Accesses the Federal Reserve Bank Fedline Advantage online system wire transfer section and inputs outgoing wire transfers to include daily settlement wires in accordance with established FRB guidelines;

o Requires a co-worker to dual control verify all outgoing wire information for accuracy ensuring alternate employees are being called upon;

o Ensures that all wires input and verified were transmitted and balances total dollar amount of wires sent to total dollar amount provided for sent wires on the Federal Reserve Bank Fedline Advantage system Activity Summary report;

o Maintains Daily Funds Recap sheet listing beginning balance and adding all incoming and outgoing activity and balancing to the ending balance amount provided on the FRB Account Management Information report;

o Communicate same to Senior Vice President/CFO and acts upon instructions, while also ensuring completed process results in the expected ending balance.

o Performs end of day balancing of wire activity, balance Federal Reserve Bank reports to general ledger and export all daily wires to BSA folder for daily research to determine suspicious activity and record keeping purposes.

Visa Debit Disputes

o Accesses the Debit processing system to retrieve the daily settlement report and works all items contained on report, ensuring a balanced general ledger.

o Monitors the queues in the debit processing system works.

Purchasing

o Researches and processes all special purchase order requests for authorized departments;

o Ensures quality orders and timely delivery; and

o Determines quantities necessary for reorder, creates ticket requests in Navisource, tracks requests and confers with AVP EFT Operations for decision making purposes.

Problem Resolution

o Documents or reports any problems that occur during daily duties and the course of action taken to resolve the problem;

o Reports or escalates any unresolved problems immediately to the Assistant Vice President EFT Accounting; and

o Thorough knowledge of data processing and plastic production functions and routines related to EFT areas and ATM systems;

o Thorough knowledge of credit and check card administration functions in an on-line environment;

o Thorough knowledge of Visa USA and Visa International operating procedures and regulations;

o Thorough knowledge of the Core online computer system

o Thorough knowledge of the Federal Reserve Bank Advantage system;

o Thorough knowledge of the First Data Resources Visa computer system;

o Thorough knowledge of the Image Center software program;

o Thorough knowledge of the Debit processor systems;

o Thorough knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act;

o Knowledge of basic accounting objectives, concepts and principles;

o Knowledge of warehousing and purchasing practices;

o Knowledge of inventory control procedures and practices;
