Summary:

Responsible for the development and maintenance of processes to ensure various financial systems interact correctly in areas related to gross patient revenue, charges and the associated volumes or utilization statistics. Will interact with Accounting, Billing, Reimbursement and Information Services to facilitate the accurate posting and interfacing of revenue between different files and systems. Will maintain tables and master files such as the Charge Master and the General Ledger Revenue Rules. Will also conduct reconciliation's of daily postings to the Transition (TSI) Decision Support system, the DKD Revenue Management system and the General Ledger system.

Responsibilities:


  • Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
  • Ensures areas within health information management are directionally aligned with CHRISTUS Health operational standards including release of health information, transcription services, and physician completion practices.
  • Works with CHRISTUS Hospitals and Corporate teams to identify areas for improvement and design processes that will increase the knowledge of staff and improve outcomes in service, quality, and accuracy.
  • Works with leadership to develop coding and HIM strategies.
  • Facilitates standardization of practices and technology across hospitals within the health system to meet the needs of medical and administrative staff.
  • Facilitates design and implementation of software systems, optimization, and maintenance.
  • Provides educational programs and in-service training to increase the efficiency of operations.
  • Responds to organizational and customer needs with innovative programs to ensure service excellence.
  • Ensures compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and directives from regulatory agencies.
  • Prepares and presents performance reports to leadership and others as necessary.
  • Responsible for identifying future changes in health care and integrating them into the HIM environment.
  • Provides input into the HIM strategy and vision for the organization.
  • Performs other duties as special projects as assigned by the Director.

Job Requirements:

Education/Skills



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience required.



Experience



  • 6 - 8 years of experience preferred.



Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications



  • None required.



Work Schedule:

8AM - 5PM Monday-Friday
