Assistant Diving Coach - Swimming & Diving

Responsibilities

• 40% Teach and Coach student athletes with on deck responsibilities as assigned by the Head Diving Coach
• 30% Evaluate and recruit qualified student athletes to the University of Minnesota whose athletic skills make them highly competitive in the B1G and NCAA, and whose academic abilities make them good candidates for a successful academic experience and graduation from the University of Minnesota
• 10% Assist Head Diving Coach in all aspects of developing and maintaining a competitive diving program within the NCAA and B1G Conference, while committing to all requirements necessary to represent the University of Minnesota in a positive fashion.
• 20% Off-Deck responsibilities as assigned by the Head Swimming and Diving Coach or Director of Swimming and Diving.

Required:

• Bachelor's Degree
• Driver's License
• Excellent computer and communication skills
• Successfully pass the NCAA recruiting exam upon hire
• Certified as a USA Diving Coach
• At least 4 years coaching diving at a US junior, national or college level

Preferred:

• Masters Degree
• Experience recruiting at the collegiate level, preferably D1

Pay Range: $60,000 - $70,000 annually; depending on education/qualifications/experience

Time Appointment Category: 75%-100% Appointment (If job description above does not specify appointment or expected weekly hours, assume a 100% appointment.)
